In this post, I'll explain how to get one of the BEST award redemptions you can get with your points, ANA Business Class The Room.
The Room was first launched close to 2020 when, sadly, the Covid pandemic hit. The new product is rated as one of the best business class experiences that even rivals first class experiences from other airlines.

The Room features close to a double-size bed seat with fully sliding door features to ensure privacy throughout the flight. There is a large 24-inch 4k monitor and plenty of other features that can be found on their website. Redemption Chart
The redemption chart we will be looking at is Virgin Atlantic. Virgin Atlantic and ANA are both Star Alliance which means you can book award flights using the Virgin Atlantic Award Chart. The reason why we use Virgin Atlantic Award Chart is because of its set pricing, rather than dynamic pricing, which almost always over fluctuates their mile pricing. The Virgin Atlantic Pricing is as follows:
Keep in mind these prices are for round-trip fares and can be redeemed one-way at half the cost. So a one-way from LAX to HND will only be 45,000 miles. Learning Award Availability
First off, we need to know which airlines will operate a non-stop ANA flight.
The routes that fly non-stop from the U.S. to Japan are:
Seattle
Los Angeles
Chicago
San Francisco
New York
San Jose
Houston
Honolulu
To keep the list updated, feel free to search on their website that can be found here.
The newer business cabin is operated on the 777-ER. If you end up booking the 787, it will be the older business class product as shown below:

The routes generally with the 777-ER are:
Chicago
Los Angeles
New York
It never hurts to check the other destinations as I have found some from Seattle and San Francisco flying the 777-ER.
Finding Award Availability
The best way to find award availability is to search through the United Airlines Website.
After clicking the link, select the following:
We're searching one-way for now, since its easier to search for award availability like this. After finding availability, you can search for the trip back and then select the available dates together for the round-trip booking.
Once you are done, click search and DON'T log-in to your United Airlines Account. We don't want this happening because United Airlines may offer you their own award availability that doesn't match up to Virgin Atlantic.
The chart should look something similar to this:
Search around to find a ticket that looks like this:
We're looking for 3 things: ✔️ Make sure that the flight is operated by All Nippon Airways
✔️ The airline is operated on Boeing 777-300ER
✔️ The fare class is Business (I)
This is one example that has all the above checked. After confirming, you can call Virgin Atlantic to confirm the award space and ask them to hold the award for up to 24 hours. After, go ahead and transfer you miles from American Express, Chase, Citi, and Capital One to Virgin Atlantic and complete the booking by calling Virgin Atlantic again.
This flight is currently open to book on March 7, 2023 in case any of you want to snag this amazing deal for 45,000 miles. But I did promise that you could book the flight for only 35,000 points; and that is through a transfer partner bonus. Most credit card points will have up to a 1:1.3 transfer bonus. This makes the 45,000 miles needed to book on Virgin Atlantic cost only 34,616 points.
